The FIRST Tech Challenge and VRC.
FIRST and VEX are two types of challenges that Moody Robotics does mainly. First Tech Challenge is something the members from VEX Statix are very familiar with. There is 3 FTC teams at Foy H. Moody High School. 2 members of VEX Statix are leaders of 2 out of 3 teams, those teams being, 12202 Gaga For Robots, and 4902 Novabots. In FTC, Land Robotics has won several awards making it to State, and also, we have made to nationals and competed in Georgia 3 years ago.

MATE Underwater Robotics
Something some of the members of VEX Statix recently has gotten involved with is underwater robotics. MATE is challenge specifically about Underwater robotics. Underwater robotics is something Foy H. Moody High School has had for a while, along side Land Robotics. In fact, our Underwater Robotics team has made it International, and is the 25th best MATE team, in the world.

TAME
TAME is a Engineering Design Contest that consist of 2 test, a math test, and a science test, and a engineering Design Challenge. Out of the Coastal Bend Chapter, we have had 3 students go all the way to the finals, and competed along side many other students in Houston TX. We have had Serena Perez, 12th grader finalist go to finals, Anthony Odvina, 11th grader finalist, and Henry Crawley 11th Grader, Engineering Design Challenge Winner.

The CITGO Innovation Academy
The CITGO Innovation Academy is a Texas Academy based on the principles of Science, Tecnology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The CITGO Innovation Academy is open to all students in the CCISD attendance zone, as any student is capable of applying as they enter into high school. This Academy serves primarily to any students looking to fulfill a future in the STEM field, as Foy H. Moody High School offers PLTW classes based around this academy such as: the Introduction to Engineering Design, the Principles of Engineering, Civil Engineering and Architecture, and Engineering Design and Development.
